Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothin' But A Number was released in 1994. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was just 15 when the album became Gold. The collaboration was strongly inspired by R. Kelly, and helped put her onto the scene. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland on her album, One In A Million, that included the top-selling single If Your Girl knew. The second album of Aaliyah entitled One in a Million, was released in 1996. It featured the top hit single"If Your Girl Only Knew. In 2000 she starred in the romance and action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver, the film producer, met her at an awards show and suggested the role. In 2002 she was part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels followed, featuring Zee playing her role. She received four Grammy nominations in 2001, 1999, 2002, and 2003. Some of her other notable work are Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. She's appeared in many commercials including Volvo's international car maker. The actress lives in Los Angeles with her husband as well as her daughter, and will continue to pursue an acting profession.
